WAIKOLOA BEACH RESORT, Hawai’i Island—Olivia Clare Boutique, the newest member of the Queens’ MarketPlace ‘ohana, opens its doors this month at the popular Kohala Coast resort shopping center. Featuring unique Hawai’i-made fashions, accessories and products for the home, this new store represents four generations in the creative life of owner-operator Audrey Frydenlund.
After learning the art of jewelry-making, Audrey expanded her passion into a cottage industry. Her Etsy shop did so well so fast that she was able to branch out into a premier brick-and-mortar store in Hawi, with her mother Kathryn. Audrey named the shop for her daughter Olivia, and her grandmother, Kathryn’s mom Clare.
This new location showcases Frydenlund’s original gemstone, pearl, seaglass and other jewelry, aloha wear for men, women and children, bath and body products and fragrances made from island ingredients, hand-dyed pareau, caps and microfiber beach towels, and delicious food products like Ahualoa Farms coffee, creatively flavored coconut candies by the Hawaiian Candyman, and sweet-tangy Liliko’i puree by Davine Cocktail Mixes. Happily filling a growing demand for Hawai’i-made goods of quality, Olivia Clare Boutique is sure to be a hit with discerning visitors and kama‘āina.
Open 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Queens’ MarketPlace, Waikoloa Beach Resort. For more information, call 808 657-4307.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary in the Waikoloa community this year, Queens’ MarketPlace in Waikoloa Beach Resort has earned a reputation among visitors and kama‘āina as “the gathering place of the Kohala Coast,” full of shopping opportunities, services and great food, along with entertainment and arts programs, movies under the stars and large-scale concerts in Waikoloa Bowl at Queens’ Gardens.
